‘আমি কোনও দুর্নীতির সঙ্গে যুক্ত নই’, ইডি বাড়ি থেক বেরিয়ে যেতেই বললেন তৃণমূল বিধায়ক তাপস রায়

EDK has been seen in full action mode since Friday morning. Trinamool Minister, MLA, ex-Chairman of Municipality raided house by Central Investigation Agency. A team of ED reached Baranagar MLA Tapas Roy’s house around 6 am that day. After 12 hours of search and interrogation, the investigators left at 6:15 in the evening.  

According to ED sources, the Trinamool MLA has been interrogated on this day regarding the recruitment corruption. Illegal appointments in several municipalities in the state are evident from documents obtained from alleged Ayan Sheel. The name of Baranagar municipality is also included in that list.

And this is why the ED raided the Baranagar MLA’s house on this day. On this day, the ED searched the houses of Boubazar and Baranagar. There were also central forces and local police. It is known that after the search, the investigators took a mobile, biodata and several documents from the MLA’s house.  

On that day, after the ED officials left the house, Tapas Roy faced the journalists. He said, “I have nothing to say. They will say what they say. ED comes for whatever reason. I was not involved in any corruption in political life. Not involved”.

ED also raided the house of fire minister Sujit Bose at seven in the morning on this day. The search continued throughout the day. Central army jawans and police officials can be seen in front of his two houses in Laketown. Dakshin Dum Dum is named in PUR recruitment corruption case. Sujit Bose was once the vice chairman of this municipality. The ED is investigating whether there was any corruption during his tenure.

On this day, ED went from Sujith’s house to Sujith’s office near Sreebhoomi Club. Sujit Bose’s son Samudra Bose was with him at that time. He told reporters, “Central officials have come here to work. Let them work. We are fully cooperating.”
